GNBCHC's weight loss groups are comprised of 6-10 adults who meet one–hour a week for 12-weeks to facilitate and reinforce healthy life style changes.
- Nutrition education
- Meal plans, lower fat, lower calorie/carbohydrate eating
- Healthy cooking techniques
- Recipe modification
- Behavior modification and ways to incorporate activity into daily life
Group members participate in individual weight check, blood pressure check and an exercise component. At the end of the 12-week session members are encouraged to meet with the nutritionist to create an individual meal plan.
There are also 2 Healthy Weight Clinics each week:
Tuesday and Thursday, 2:30pm–4:00pm.
